ACCESS-ABLE TRAVEL SOURCE NEWSLETTER VOLUME 1 NUMBER 5 http://www.access-able.com ******************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************** TRAVEL TIPS - If a trip to the beach is in your plans for this summer be aware that many resort areas now have beach wheelchairs available, but you may have to do a little looking. Beach wheelchairs are usually available one of two ways. First, through the parks service of the resort area. They are usually free and sometimes can even be reserved. The trick is that they are not available at all beach access points, so check ahead for the nearest one to where you are staying. In areas where they are not offered by the parks service, check local rental facilities that rent beach chair, umbrellas and accessories. Some places will even deliver to where you are staying. On rare occasions beach front hotels will have them available for their guests. ******************************************************************************** RESORT IN COSTA RICA - Accessible Adventures International will be celebrating the opening of their new accessible resort at the end of June. The resort has a wide range of adapted equipment and recreation opportunities available including diving and diving instruction for person with disabilities.
